Bugsy Moore Bugsy moore, couldn't even walk around. Had your brother, Push you around school And the other kids They envied you You were drowning in the pool And your brother came to save you And all you said was Lets do it again For that rush of adrenalin And the king still lives With Allan Moore Still riding on his horse With his blue suede shoes ofcourse Bugsy moore Bugsy moore Never let your head hang down Keep it up for the crowd thats watching, watching Watching you now And the king still lives With Allan Moore Still riding on his horse With his blue suede shoes ofcourse Bugsy moore

The Fixx 02:43
The Fixx I'm asleep in a market place and i'm scared, dont know what to do Can your slick hands fix All of my problems which, come from girls and booze Yeah i'm up to old tricks Sleeping in the car again, throw your money Don't waste my time It's just too much fuss, in the city and i don't waste my time Cut me loose You swing like a wrecking ball How could you refuse me Ya falling all over the floor Got no excuse, so rest assured I'll be back into the car park by west end by four Just a little whisper in your ear To help you pass the time, to help you fight the fear Of the big bad wolf, who is sleeping at your door While your hands tremble on the floor There's been some evidence of my negligence To this god awful place Wish i was at home with Three hundred girls of my own But you just wanna fight. Cut me loose You swing like a wrecking ball How could you refuse me Ya falling all over the floor Got no excuse, so rest assured I'll be back into the car park by west end by four

Modestly amused I pulled into your front drive Dimmed my lights and looked out at the night I knew your secret and what you had done you had found another one I could hardly , say to you I was modest, modestly amused by you Well it's so boring from stop to start Why don't you go, and burn me out Dry your eyes and save your face I wont be drawn in to your games The screen door shook as i walked out You just sputter and spout I could hardly , say to you I was modest, modestly amused by you Well it's so boring from stop to start Why don't you go, and burn me out Then they know Just what they've been looking for Then they know It aint pretty anymore Then they know Just what they've been looking for Then they know It aint pretty anymore

Sleep At Night Think your tough yeah Oh yeah How do you feel When you walk big Oh yeah How do you see I need to be the number one Will i stand on my own two feet I swear that i cant make it On my own Never been alone before On my own before Something wasn't right I couldn't sleep at night Something wasn't right I couldn't sleep at night It's been rough yeah Oh yeah I couldn't sleep Oh for a month yeah Oh yeah You haunt my dreams I need to be the number one Will i stand on my own two feet I swear that i cant make it On my own Never been alone before On my own before Something wasn't right I couldn't sleep at night Something wasn't right I couldn't sleep at night

I fell asleep on the 385 I strolled the streets to forget the night and why i missed you all of the time I traced the walls of my mothers house I crept the halls Don't wake old George He's sleeping so, don't let him know

about

Louis Spoils is the recording project of Jake Rush, a talented musician and songwriter and a friend to many, a fact that immediately leaps from the linear notes of his debut, self-titled EP. Co-produced with chum Tom Glaum who literally captured everything themselves except the drums, the five tracks contained on this stellar first effort feature a star-swollen line-up of guests who think so much of Rush, they worked on this recording alongside the man himself for little more than pizza. Old friend Wally De Backer (Gotye) plays drums on all five tracks while the likes of Kane Mazlin (Hungry Kids of Hungary), Dan Parsons, Sam Cromack (Ball Park Music), James O’Brien (The Boat People) and more all lend a hand to proceedings.

However, you can’t claim the Louis Spoils project itself leans on any of Rush’s past or his celebrity guestlist. It has been something of a long-term project that was put together in pieces over the last couple of years and actually lay dormant because Rush experienced crippling anxiety and didn’t finish it off until months of prompting (verbal abuse) from famous friends. He demoed in his Dad’s shed in Tasmania, tracked with Glaum in tents in sheds all over, recorded drums and percussion with De Backer between sessions of his own Making Mirrors album in Melbourne, recorded pianos and violins in a Brisbane chapel and eventually laying down the vocals you hear on the final EP in his own bedroom. He managed to sneak some late night, after hours mixing time with John Castle (Washington, The Bamboos) while he was working on albums from Josh Pyke and Gossling and eventually mastered by Steve Smart at Sydney’s 301. And it was complete…

The result is stunning – a multi-faceted quintet of tunes so good, no guest could steal the spotlight from Jake Rush himself as he coolly delivers each and every line of every song with the utmost precision. His influences are varied if not obvious – you can hear hints of his drummer’s Grammy-winning day job here and there, but also harmonies spawned by the likes of The Beatles and Fleet Foxes - a little Beck here, a little Mark Oliver Everett there but always essentially retaining the Rush swagger that has become familiar to many. The “guts of all these songs”, as Rush puts it, “all began on my little nylon string guitar and developed into what they are now.” Such a humble remark isn’t uncommon from his mouth and, as he puts together a live band to take the show on the road, you can rest assured that the show will be as top shelf as this debut effort.
